CH.ACO

Founded in 2009 in Santiago, Chile

Ch.ACO, Chile Arte Contemporáneo, is Chile’s contemporary art fair. Created in 2009, it takes place every year in Santiago at the beginning of spring, and has managed to draw an average of 50,000 visitors during its five days of operation. From its inception, the fair has been held in prominent venues in different areas of Santiago. In 2016, the fair shall return to Vitacura, the neighbourhood that welcomed the fair for its first two editions, as well as one of the city’s best renowned areas for its great touristic, commercial and cultural activity.

Sponsored by the Fundación de Artes Visuales Asociados (FAVA), the Ch.ACO Art Fair has two main objectives: to assist the creation of the visual arts industry in Chile, and to promote the practice of collecting as an engine for the country’s patrimonial growth. In this way, the fair establishes itself as a transversal platform for the diffusion of visual arts, in which the participating galleries are the event’s great protagonists, accompanied by varied programs such as discussion groups, contests, and an editorial section, amongst others.

Next Edition: October 11th – 15th 2017
