Carolina Castro

Born in 1982 in Chile
Lives and works in Spain

Carolina Castro Jorquera (Chile, 1982) Lives and works in Spain. She writes regularly in her, and collaborates with the digital contemporary art magazines Adesk and  Artishock. Occasionally contributes to the website of the CPPC (Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros). She is currently researching for his PhD in the department of Art Theory at the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid. Her interests are framed by the relationship that is able to establish art with other disciplines such as science and philosophy, as well as with the different dimensions of human consciousness and its role in the construction of history and present. She has a degree in art, has completed a Masters in Contemporary Art and Visual Culture in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Spain (2010) and participated in the 4th International Curatorial Course of the Gwangju Bienale (GBICC), South Korea (2012).
