Andrea Mármol Juárez

Born in La Antigua Guatemala in 1988.
Lives and works in La Antigua Guatemala

She began her artistic career in Espira/ La Espora, art residence in Nicaragua, founded by Patricia Belli,  in order to promote contemporary art of Central America.

In 2007 she began contemporary painting and new media projects. Although her works have been mainly developed around the painting , she also experimented with video and interventions in public spaces in which she has carried out projects in conjunction with the visual artist Alberto Rodríguez also from Guatemala. She has been invited to participate in various group exhibitions such as International Festival of Visual Contemporary Art Center of Contemporary Art in Quito, Ecuador Turnachkinder Haus, Zurich, Switzerland, World Bank main complex, Washington DC, Cultural Center of Spain in Guatemala, among others.

She founded in Guatemala MarES Association ( Mediation Arts Education and Development), which promotes critical and reflective of contemporary art education through ARCALAB ( Contemporary Art and Culture ).
