Rustha Luna Pozzi-Escot

Born in 1973 in Lima, Peru
Lives and works in Bordeaux, France

My artistic research focuses on the question of identity and gender. I use a variety of technical means to develop projects. From traditional to digital photography, from video to sculpture, I take the elements of daily life used by women to create new objects providing them with a new meaning. I present myself as an actress in some of my pieces, appropriating some gestures and clichés that introduce the viewer to a known space in time. It is not a self-portrait, rather an interpretation in which the main character is a woman.
