Chloé Fricout

Born in 1983 in Paris, France
Lives and woks between Paris, France and Mexico City, Mexico

Independant curator based in Paris and Mexico City, C.Fricout has graduated from a Masters Degree  in Art History (Paris – Sorbonne) and in Public Politics (Grenoble – IEP). Among different activities, she worked as an Artistic Project Coordinator in Casa Vecina (Mexico city – 2008- 2009), where she initiated an Artists Residencies Program. Her main research about urban issues covers a large panorama from contemporary art to architecture and videos, where she questions notions such as identity, territory, collective imagination and public spaces. This led her to curate several exhibitions such as Glorieta, an exhibition of urban videoart (2007), an exhibition about art and architecture untitled Translations (2009); Customized Mexico, a movie, videoart and re-cut trailer´s program, conceived with Diana Ma.Colmenero (2011). She collaborated with the 6th Public Art Forum (2009-2010) and other publications and she’s now an active member of  the Mexican reflexion group Nerivela. She´s also the co-curator of the project VICO, videoclub of expanded operation, initiated with Javier Toscano (Mexico and France, 2011-2012).
