MANIFESTO-espacio is an experimental project of autonomous creation and self-management dedicated to the exhibition, research and production of contemporary art located in Guatemala City.
We present small gestures, ephemeral pieces, in-situ interventions, happenings, relational works and documentations of artistic processes of emerging artists or new projects of consolidated artists.
Our program includes conversations, documentary film cycles, workshops, auctions and mediation processes focused on the general public. We propose the documentation and generation of archives that support the history of art in Guatemala, through artist publications and digital records.
Without a commercial intention, MANIFESTO-espacio is a place for reflection, criticism and artistic experimentation inserted in a local context in which traditional practices and exhibitions continue to dominate.
