Miguel A. López

Born in Lima in 1983
Curator at TEOR/éTica and Lado V en San José, Costa Rica

Writer, researcher, and curator. His work investigates collaborative dynamics and transformations in the understanding of and engagement with politics in Latin America in recent decades. His work also focuses on queer re-articulations of history from a Southern perspective. He has published in periodicals such as Afterall, ramona, Manifesta Journal, e-flux Journal, Art in America, ArtNexus, Art Journal, and The Exhibitionist, among others.

Between 2012 and 2013 he has been invited as a curator of Lugar a Dudas in Cali, Colombia. He is co-founder of the independent art space Bisagra, active in Lima, Peru, since 2014.
